Friend of God
God of the Small Things

Sarah Blackburn, March 4th

David Gleaves, March 11th

Sarah talks about the difference between having God as our friend and being the friend of God. She looks in particular at the example of Moses and Enoch, and shows how their hunger for God prompted a deeper walk with Him, culminating in Him calling them ‘friend’.
David brings an insighful message about our God who is not only God of the big things, but of the small things too.
Upward, Inward, Outward
The God of All Comfort

Leston Blackburn, March 18th

Leston Blackburn, March 25th

Leston begins by unpacking the results of the recent church health survey before exploring how Isaiah, standing in the presence of God, was drawn firstly to look upward at the majesty and splendour of God, then inward as he recognised his own humanness and need of God’s grace, but thirdly, outward, as the compassion and conviction of the Lord drew him to want to be God’s mouthpiece to a nation in desperate need of Him.
Psalm 34:17-18 reads “18 The Lord is near to the broken-hearted and saves the crushed in spirit. 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” Journey with Leston as he unpacks how this Psalm was penned by David and what was happening in his life that enabled him to discover these wonderful truths about God, and what this means for us today.
