Getting Egypt Out Of the Slaves
Strike the Ground

Leston Blackburn, February 4th

Leston Blackburn, February 11th

It was one thing getting the slaves out of Egypt. It was quite another getting Egypt out of the slaves. Even though God had miraculously delivered them from Egypt and promised to be with them through the wilderness and into Canaan, The Israelites could not see beyond the chains of their past. Explore how their example serves as a reminder to us that we are no longer slaves but adopted children of God.
Isaiah 43 gives a wonderful picture of God’s grace at work as He invites a people who desperately needed a hope and a future to a brand new chapter, encouraging them not to dwell on the former things, but to understand that God was about to do a brand new thing in their midst. Leston explores three instances in Scripture where God extended a similar prophetic invitation to His people at key times in their history, and then reflects on God’s invitation to us today. How will we respond?
Three Life-Truths I Have Learned to Be True
The Power, Priority and Purpose of Words

Mathew Clark, February 18h

Leston Blackburn, February 25th

Have you ever heard the saying, "Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never harm me?" Would you say the precise opposite has been true in your life? Can you think of times in your life when you were most hurt? How many of those times involved words? The reality is that words, whether spoken or written, have tremendous power both to help and to harm, to stir and to shatter, to build and to break. Join Leston as he explores the power, priority and purpose of words, and how we can use words to great benefit both in our lives and in the lives of others.
Sharing his final official sermon before his retirement, after 45 years of full-time ministry, Mathew unpacks three things he has learned to be absolutely true in life after a lifetime of service. We can always trust God. We can always believe the Bible, and we should never underestimate what God can do in us, through us and around us. Join Mathew on this moving sermon of what he has learned to be pivotal truths in his life.
